Minion from Space?
Micrometeorite [NMM 4021] is an aerodynamic barred olivine (BO) type with a large nickel-iron bead in the front. Not unlike a minion. It is amazing how the formation of a micrometeorite can be like a planet formation in miniature. The shiny metal bead stands out of the little space rock, held back only by surface tension during formation.
Right beside the metal bead in the front, is a beautiful well formed pyramidal olivine crystal. The first sign of transcending over to the neighbouring type; cryptocrystalline micrometeorites.
The stone was found November 7th, 2022, at Tårup, Funen, Denmark.
