Rare pale porphyritic olivine (PO) micrometeorite.
The micrometeorite [NMM 1611] is a rare pale variety of a porphyritic olivine (PO) micrometeorite with metal enrichment in the front. It has a beautiful conical aerodynamic form, and the tail is tending towards barred olivine (BO), with characteristic stripes. There are several round iridescent oxidations on the surface, some with beautiful Newton rings. But the most striking feature is the amazing pale colour.
The stone was found July 2nd, 2018, at Bauhaus, Lier, Viken, Norway.
